StreamSentry Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Overview

StreamSentry is a browser extension that monitors user-selected Twitch channels and automatically opens or switches between live streams based on the user’s priority settings.

StreamSentry is designed to operate locally in the user’s browser and does not operate its own data collection server.

Information Used

StreamSentry uses the following information to provide its functionality:

How Information Is Used

This information is used exclusively to:

Data Storage and Sharing

StreamSentry stores authentication information and user preferences locally in the browser.

StreamSentry does not operate its own backend server, sell personal information, or use third-party analytics or advertising services.

The extension communicates directly with Twitch for authentication and live-stream status requests. These interactions are subject to Twitch’s Privacy Notice.

Data Retention and Deletion

Stored extension data remains in the browser until it is cleared or the extension is uninstalled.

Users can remove StreamSentry’s locally stored information by uninstalling the extension or clearing its extension storage.

Users may also revoke StreamSentry’s access to their Twitch account through Twitch’s account connection settings.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if StreamSentry’s functionality or data practices change.

Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
